DJS Sims

Allo! So you may be wondering why you were dumped here when you went to djssims.com, and what happened to the old site. Basically, to make a long story short, I've restored the old forum that I deleted about a year ago (which is why nearly all the posts here are ancient) and have decided to make that my main site instead. There are several reasons for this, but basically it boils down to three points:

1) Easier to maintain. I don't have to worry about updating the custom CMS I wrote for the old version of the site if security problems crop up.
2) Easier communication. I'm horrible at responding to emails. You can actually get a response from me here.
3) Easier transitions. When The Sims 3 comes out, I can quickly and easily add a section for any custom content that I may make.

I'll be adding threads for all my recolors, etc soonish. Until then you can still view a (mostly) working version of the old site here: http://www.djssims.com/oldsite/

Until then, settle in, get comfortable, post something if you'd like. I'm working on some new hacks and other things, so be sure to check back soon!

Oh noes! The link to the old site is dead! The reason I'm asking is that my computer ate all my CC files recently and I'm currently trying to redownload everything. I had a good amount of your Mods and on a somewhat related subject, I had quite a bit of CC from N99 Forum Paks, especially the Maxis-Match plumbing and appliance object recolors. I'm curious as to whether there might be a content update in the near future or if there are some mirror sites out there that I don't know about...or if the files are stashed on Mediafire, Box or 4Shared somewhere.

As far as my old hacks, etc, they're all available here in the forums. Is there some particular link to something you need that is dead?

I didn't see the subcategories under Hacks. Regarding the N99 files, many of the links go either to completely dead pages or GoDaddy placeholder pages. Summer Lull 2008 is completely broken and the only way the files in Maxis Match seem to be obtainable is through the complete archive file, not individually.

Should be fixed now, try again.
